David M. Morrow, MD, FAACS, Named to 100 Best Cosmetic Surgeons

November 11, 2008

David M. Morrow, MD, FAACS, founder and director of The Morrow Institute, a multi-specialty plastic surgery group in Rancho Mirage, CA, was recently named one of the “100 Best Cosmetic Surgeons in the World,” at the 52nd World Congress of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (IACS). The award was presented at the November 5-8 conference in Cartegena, Colombia. Dr. Morrow was honored by the Scientific Committee of the IACS for his “significant contribution in the development of cosmetic surgery as a new surgical discipline around the world” -- particularly for his contributions in the field of facial aesthetic surgery and skin rejuvenation. In addition to receiving the award at the World Congress, Dr. Morrow presented his his trademarked Ultimate Skin Rejuvenation method which improves skin medically as well as aesthetically.  Dr. Morrow also presented the scope of his work in a landmark presentation, “Facial Aesthetic Surgery:  Finesse, Balance and Beauty.”

“It’s a great honor to have achieved worldwide recognition for 30 years of dedication to my specialty,” noted Dr. Morrow, “and to be the only physician in Southern California to have earned this distinction.  Aesthetic surgery is the marriage of technical skill and artistry. The advances we have made in cosmetic surgery at The Morrow Institute further enhance our results in reconstructive surgery as well.”

Dr. Morrow co-authored two landmark papers published this year in the  Journal of Aesthetic Surgery on procedures he pioneered, “Bi-planar Temple Lift for Brow Ptosis,” and “Stork-lift: A Circumoccipital Extended Neck-Lips.” He is the co-director of the  non-controversial Fat Derived Stem Cell Research Lab at The Morrow Institute, and is the founder and director of the Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Program at the Morrow Institute under the auspices of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
