David Morrow MD Guest Sun Protection Expert on KMIR
The Morrow Institute was recently featured on the front page of Skin & Allergy News, the independent news publication for the dermatology community. The prestigious publication spotlighted The Morrow Institute's groundbreaking work on performing facelift procedures and TCA skin peels at the same time. Prior to The Morrow Institute's research, it had been widely thought that performing chemical peels with a facelift could cause skin necrosis.
Dr. David M. Morrow, founder and director of the Morrow Institute, believed the necrosis was caused by phenols in the peel, and theorized that TCA peels would be safe. Since he began doing the procedures at the same time in the late 1980s, he has not experienced a single instance of skin necrosis. The research was presented recently at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Las Vegas.
"We are very gratified that our work has received so much interest," Dr. Morrow noted. "Besides providing excellent patient care and results, one of our primary goals has always been to ad to the body of scientific knowledge in our field."
The Morrow Institute is one of the longest established Specialty Plastic Surgery® practices in the world.
