As we age, our faces lose volume. The lack of fullness accentuates facial wrinkles and skin folds. Facial fillers (also called dermal fillers) work to re-plump the skin, creating a more vibrant, youthful appearance. Treatments take only a few minutes and effects are typically limited to the injection site.
A highly effective non-surgical procedure, Liquid FaceLifts utilize a combination of facial fillers and wrinkle control products to help restore natural facial contours, reduce wrinkles and add volume.
A “fluffy” injectable filler, Juvederm® works to softly smooth away fine lines, deep lines and wrinkles in the glabella area (the flat area of bone between the eyebrows), the nasolabial folds and marionette lines around the nose and mouth. It is also used to reduce hollows under the eye, to fill vertical lines around the mouth and to plump lips. Results are natural-looking and long lasting.
Using a fine needle, Juvederm® is injected under the skin to fill the soft tissue of the dermis, the innermost layer of skin. The gel replaces hyaluronic acid (HA) that occurs naturally in the skin. Juvederm® is the only HA filler that is FDA approved to last up to one year with only one treatment.
Three types of Juvederm® are used at The Morrow Institute, depending on a patient’s specific issues and goals: Juvederm Ultra®; Juvederm® Ultra XC, which contains a buffering agent; and Juvederm® Ultra Plus.
A more compressed and dense facial filler, Radiesse® is used to restore facial contours lost through the natural aging process. It helps replenish volume by stimulating production of the body’s own natural collagen and encouraging tissue regeneration.
At The Morrow Institute, we use Radiesse to treat the sunken area beneath the eyes, to augment hollow cheeks, and fill in areas on the side of the chin. Although not as permanent, Radiesse provides similar benefits to implants – which also restore youthful fullness to the face.
To enhance patient comfort, the FDA has approved mixing lidocaine with Radiesse®.
